Financial Policies
Payment for these services is due at the time the therapy service is rendered. I accept cash or checks, and credit cards.
If you and/or your child miss a therapy appointment, you will be billed for the entirety of the session unless you call at least 24 hours in advance of the appointment. If you and/or your child are over 20 minutes late, you will be billed for the entirety of the session and asked to reschedule your appointment. In the case of emergencies and illnesses, please let me know as soon as possible that you will miss an appointment, as these circumstances may be exempt from this cancellation policy.
I understand there may be financial limitations for many families and clients. If the prices above are not possible due to financial difficulties, I do offer a slided scale payment option based on your insurance deductible and typical copay with a minimum of $50 per session. If this minimum is not possible or there are extenuating circumstances, please discuss this with me. I am currently full and unable to accept new clients at a slided scale rate, however I am very happy to help connect you with another therapist who has a slided scale and / or alert you should a slided scale spot open up in the future. I keep a record of your payment with services rendered, along with a billing code on a log. You are welcome to access this at any time.
I currently do not accept insurance. When requested, I will provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance company as an out of network provider. Please contact your company representative for more information on whether or not you can receive reimbursement for our time together. Unfortunately, insurance typically will not reimburse for hypnosis or yoga therapy.
Good Faith Estimates /No Surprises Act
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.
